Beard-Trimming Tips
-
Comb
Use a beard comb to lay your hairs in one direction. Be sure to comb your entire beard including the chin, neck and mustache.
-
Trim
Be sure to use quality clippers for an even cut. The size of the setting depends on the length you want to maintain. Start with bigger clippers and work your way down to find your desired setting. For the mustache, clip on your desired settings and remove the guard to trim any hairs that hang over the lip.
-
Fade
Switch to a smaller clipper setting as you begin to move outward toward the neck and cheeks.
-
Clean Up
Trim stray hairs with scissors for a more natural look.
-
Moisturize
Finish with a little beard oil to add moisture and help prevent itching.

Four Elements of the Perfect Shave
-
Prepare
The best time to shave is during or after you shower. This way, the steam has had a chance to open up your pores and soften the hair. Add a small amount of pre-shave oil to create a protective barrier and improve the glide of the razor.
-
Lather Up
Wet your shaving brush with warm water and add shaving cream in the center. Build a rich lather using a circular motion.
-
Shave
Select a quality razor that is properly weighted and balanced – our shaving kits and travel kits have topnotch designs. On the first pass, shave with the grain. Pay close attention to the direction your hair grows on different areas of your face. Glide the razor across your face without applying too much pressure. If needed, re-lather and take another pass for a closer shave.
-
Moisturize
Rinse, pat skin dry and moisturize. Pat on aftershave balm to replenish moisture and soothe freshly-shaven skin.
