This is a nice lightweight bag, but dimensions noted in description are very misleading. “Dimensions flat - 14.25" L x 23.75" W” The bag is 23 inches wide if laid completely flat with no contents. The base of the bag is actually 16 inches x 7. and it is 19 inches wide at the top across the zipper . The base probably could extend to 18” as there is little structure to the base. The height of the bag is 13 inches with nothing in it. This would actually work as an under seat bag for flying domestic. Reading is strictly due to smaller size. Bag is lightweight and seems to be well made for the price. Crossbody trap has no padding so I would probably switch out for a padded strap if I were keeping.

The medium Samsonite AirLIFT is a good size for me. I first bought the large size but realized that in spite of its light weight, the large could get heavy if I overpack. The medium will be easier to handle for a senior like me, and it will be more flexible for packing in the car. I like the quality and the color, and I love the sale price.

We bought the Airlift large and medium spinners for a special trip. Unfortunately, after one trip the fabric on the corners of the luggage is torn away. This wasn't cheap luggage. I'm concerned about what it will look like after a couple of trips. Our previous luggage was 20 years old and looked better than this does. This has been a reliable brand so I am really disappointed.
