Can I see Santa in person this year?

Yes! Santa is ready to see you and your family at our flagship locations in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Our guests in Philadelphia will once again have the opportunity to visit Dickens Village.

What are the safety measures Macy’s is taking in Santaland and Dickens Village?

Macy’s is implementing several safety measures to provide a safe and magical experience for your visit. Some of these include mandatory face coverings for staff, increased cleaning procedures for all high-touch surfaces, reimagined Santa experience to allow for safer visits, and requiring reservations to allow for social distancing. Guests will visit Santa in his workshop and be invited to share wishes and take a photo in front of his desk. Macy’s will continue to monitor and align with local and state health guidelines and additional changes may be implemented if warranted.

Do I need a reservation to visit?

Yes, reservations are required to visit both Santaland and Dickens Village.

How much does it cost to visit?

Admission is free to all the Macy’s holiday attractions. Professional photos are available for purchase at Santaland.

Do you accommodate people with special needs?

Absolutely – we make every effort to ensure Santaland is accessible to all. If you require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please make note of it at the time your reservation is created and email the appropriate contact for your local Macy’s as noted in the reservation system.

If I don’t want to visit Santaland in person, is there a virtual option?

Yes, the Macy’s Santaland At Home virtual experience will be available to children of all ages beginning Friday, November 26, through Friday, December 24, 2021.

What can I expect from Macy’s Santaland At Home experience?

Macy’s Santaland At Home will be the online hub for holiday magic! An interactive experience awaits kids of all ages as they travel virtually through Macy’s Santaland. Families will be able to meet the elves, engage with magical holiday scenes, and play fun games. Finally, children will meet St. Nick himself in an interactive video that will bring the wonder and magic of the holiday season to life. The experience ends with an interactive Santa selfie.

Why are reservations required to visit Dickens Village?
Dickens Village is a popular holiday attraction & wait times to enter can be long. In order to minimize the wait time & appropriately social distance, we have implemented a reservation system which schedules visitors to join the line at a specific time. This allows all visitors to experience Dickens Village with the shortest wait possible & have an enjoyable holiday experience. Available reservations will be open 5 days in advance of the day you wish to visit. Reservations open at 5:30am each day local time. Please include every member of your party when making your reservation.

Are you having tech issues? Or do you have a question about the reservation process?
Please note that reservations open at 5:30am local time for open reservations 5 days later. If you do not see a date available, 5 days in advance, it is likely because all available reservations have been booked for that day. When is the best time to book my visit to Dickens Village?
Dickens Village reservations will be easier to obtain Mon.–Thurs. throughout the season.

Do I have to wear a mask when visiting Dickens Village?
Yes. Health & safety are our top priorities for your visit to Dickens Village. This means that everybody will need to wear a face covering, including our Villagers & you.

Can I bring my dog?
Only trained service animals are permitted inside Dickens Village. Unfortunately, emotional support animals are not permitted. This is to prioritize the safety of guests & staff that have pet allergies.

From the early 1860s until today, Santa has called Macy’s his home base during the holiday season. More than 200,000 guests have visited Santaland inside Macy’s Herald Square almost every year since 1977.
