Messed up wicks

Haven’t bought yankee candles much lately because the scent throw has been subpar for the last few years but I really wanted to see what the hype was about with witches brew cause I never tried it before. This three wick is cute I love the jar. The scent is nice I like it it almost reminds me of licorice. The throw is better than I expected, maybe a 6/7 out of ten. My only complaint is the wicks. They’re like a braided cotton (?) and after I put the candle out the wicks are loose like they’ve come unbraided. I trim my wicks and take good care of my candles and have never experienced this before. I’ve only burned this candle three times so I don’t know if it will continue doing it or if it will mess up the burn but it almost seems dangerous to me to have such frayed wicks.
