Not very happy with these. They don't work for me

I wear a L in Dearfoam slippers. I usually get the clogs and like them very much. I wanted these to have a "shoe" slipper for when I'm barefoot vs wearing socks. I bought the L which is my usual size. They are small for my size 10 feet. I can get them on, but my toes are pushing into the front of the toe box. The heel backs are more slick (velour)., are not secure and tend to slip off the back of my heel. I know the XL size would be too long, especially once the loosen a bit with wear. The toe box on this one is really narrow too. They've stretched a little with wear, so I will keep them, but I will not be buying these in the future.
