Handsome Shoes - some wearing issues

Good looking shoe, comfortable and I really enjoy wearing them for work . . the interior lining material wore out a bit fast, so had I add after market in soles after about six months of wear. Laces also wore out and had to be replaced fairly quickly. The outter leather and sole held up fine.

Very Low Quality

The in-store display of this shoe is gorgeous. The ones they have in the stockroom differ greatly in quality. Most noticeable is the awkwardly little “external tongue” at the base of the lace holes (see image 1). All of the 5 pairs from the back have a sloppy external tongue that in most of the pairs was sticking straight up! Some were dramatically crooked. These were the best ones out of the 5 pairs (See image 2). Someone there said that the packaging had recently changed and some of the craftsmanship that changed as well. Example, the label inside of the tongue went from a stamp directly on the material to a sewn on label. This makes me suspect that they switch manufactures, and as a result the quality has changed. Very disappointed because I think that shoes incredible, well, the display shoes are incredible, but not the actual shoes from the back.
