Damaged but beautiful!

This is a beautiful ornament; however, part of the bottom ceramic has been sanded down to remove what I'm guessing was a personalization and then returned. This is a Macy's issue, not Villeroy and Boch. It's actually indented and very noticeable. I'm very upset that I bought this for a gift and it's non returnable. I would not recommend this if purchased online, but if you can see it first, then of course I do. There is quite a bit of detail and pretty colors.
