Excited to use my new suitcase

I just got back from an overseas trip with my old suitcase and was determined to get a new one with excellent wheel structure. After researching suitcases, I decided to try the Travelpro. I have not used it travelling yet, but having it at the house, I am so excited to be able to use it for our next overseas trip. The suitcase's ergonomic design with more room toward the bottom to help prevent the case from tipping over, the TSA accessed lock, and the smooth glide of the wheels, even on carpeting, makes me hopeful that this will be my favorite case for many years to come.

The perfect underseat bag for me.

The TravelPro Crew Classic is exactly what i was looking for. It's light, well built and about an inch smaller in length than most other bags so I'm not concerned with US and International restrictions for an underseat bag. It fits everything I need to quickly access. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Very Well Built

I have been using TravelPro luggage for more than 30 years. I bought a replacement four wheel version of one I had for twenty years that was getting worn. My only concern is that there are no detachable pockets and no fit hanger for coats. I saved the one from my last bag. Someone’s going to come up with an integral detachable garment bag that can be removed and hung up.

I replaced a TravelPro actual

I replaced a TravelPro actual "crew" heavy-duty rollaboard which finally died after 15 years of frequent use and weighed 10 pounds. This "retail" version version is lighter (about 7 pounds in 22" version), is available in colors other than black, and is nicely organized. Quality is good, wheels are great, and it's thoughtfully designed (I like the extra exterior slot into which you empty your pockets before going through TSA). I returned the 22" spinner version of this bag which was disappointingly small. The pictures of that bag lead you to think that TravelPro has cleverly made space between the wheels usable for packing, when in fact that space is used by a handle, with the result that it has no more capacity than any other 22" spinner. Thank you TravelPro for still making a 2-wheel bag. With this bag, I can do most trips (even weeks) without checking any luggage. Capacity is about the same as the old Crew bag when not expanded. It's considerably less capacity when expanded, because the expansion on this new bag tapers from bottom to top to make it less tippy (which does work actually). This bag will be best for someone who truly mainly carries it on, and who uses other bags when needing to check. If you need absolute maximum capacity and durability in a hybrid carryon/checkable and don't mind the weight, the real "crew" bags are still available at sites like mypilotstore.
