I haven’t received the Tonka Excavator yet. But Macy’s has already charged my account. UPS account indicates the Tonka Excavator is still in Illinois. I’m assuming due to weather. .
Awesome
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the Tonka Steel Classics Excavator. Reminds me of the toys I had as a kid. Extremely sturdy and has held up to my son playing with it. Currently being used as a sandbox toy. Lots of nostalgia for me with this toy.

My 4 year old will never be clean again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves this toy!! We live on an acreage so there is no shortage of dirt and he's determined to dig it all with this excavator! The setup was simple and he was ready to play in minutes. This excavator has survived multiple drops so far without any damage so it's certainly durable. I definitely recommend for small children!

Fun toy for kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a great fun looking construction vehicle. The majority of this toy is plastic and not steel, but looks to be well made. The arm is movable making it so fun to play in a sandbox to move sand around.

well made
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is six years old. He has always loved construction vehicles, and excavators are his favorite. He was very excited when he saw this. He loves how big it is. It is perfect for digging in the dirt or the sandbox. The cab has an open side. It is deep enough that a little action figure will fit in it. The boom and bucket are moveable. The entire top spins 360°. The excavator moves by a wheel track. It rolls well on its wheel track. The track part is removable if tried to remove it, but it doesn't come off on its own. The name is a little misleading. Since it says steel classics, I expected the majority to be made with steel. The only visible steel is the bucket, the cab, and the yellow area next to the cab. Everything else is plastic. The plastic seems of good quality and durable. I haven't noticed any quality issues. This toy seems well-made and durable.

Name is a bit misleading
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave the Tonka Steel Excavator to my daughter who loves all things cars and trucks. She found it exciting to work the moving arm and digger. She played in sand with the excavator digging and making piles for quite awhile. This toy is also fun to try and scoop up small toys and move them around. Toy is well made and holds up well. Wheels roll smoothly. The name is a bit misleading, as it is called “steel classics” which would make me think it is an all steel toy but in reality only the scoop and a small part of the cab are actually metal, the rest is plastic. My child likes it none the less, but it is important to note this feature is lacking. Overall, it’s is an entertaining vehicle toy that adds some variety to traditional mobile toys and has many adaptions to extend play with this excavator.

Great for kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves this excavator. He immediately opened it and went straight outside to play. The handles to run the bucket are perfect size for his hands, he is six. The excavator is nicely constructed and made of solid steel so it will be able to withstand playtime and won’t be ruined if he forgets it outside.

Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 year has been loving this toy. It is very interactive for them. I love that the arm is movable. It has a metal bucket to grab and dig at things. The majority of the toy is plastic but has been very durable for play.
