Credit card slots too tight

Slots for credit cards it's very tight. Returned it

Looks like used or a bit damaged

I don't know why, but the box was open (the lid was from the back). The wallet itself has scratches, and the second compartment is unevenly stitched. It seems like someone used it. A little bit disappointed because it's for the gift.. I would like a refund, Macy's
