Not rainproof! Rust at 2 days old!

Really beautiful light fixture but BEWARE -- there are lots of tiny holes/nooks/cracks where rainwater can enter your light fixture! Ours has been outside for 2 days and is already showing signs of rusting at the joints. Will attempt to silicone caulk and paint but there are so many open corners, I fear this will not be a lasting solution.
