Beware of the boot soles

These boots are very comfortable right out of the box . However I will not be purchasing any timberland boots for work ever again. The soles on both boots cracked almost all the way across . The left boot crack was about 1" deep . I didn't realize why my foot kept getting wet . Until I seen the cracks in the bottom of the soles. I've never had this happen to any of my works boots that I normally bought. They weren't timberlines . I would but these just to wear casually . But not to work in unless I was at a desk job

The Classic / Original Tims . . .

I had my doubts

I had my doubts about the new ReBOTL fabric lining being comfortable and durable. However I must say that the new lining material is very comfortable and seems to be durable as well. The boots are very stylish and well made. I must also say that the laces are made from a different material that the wheat color boots have and they are a few inches longer, which I prefer, easier to tie.

Very happy, comfortable and suitably waterproof

I have only had these boots for a month, but I am very happy so far. They did take 2 full days of walking around town to wear them in - as others mentioned, the waterproofing seam between the tongue and the boot creates a crease which is a bit of a pressure point on your ankle, it was quite achy for the first 2 days. But after that it softened and now they are extremely comfortable. After a full week of walking all around Vancouver city in non-stop rain and then a full week in Banff, hiking through snowy trails at -15 degrees, not once did my feet get wet or cold - I was quite impressed with that!
