Better packaging needed!

Arrived in box with minimal paper packing material. Corners were cracked and broken off. Returning the item and will not reorder.

Modern chic coasters!

Absorbing stone OR is it?

I purchased these coaster because of the material properties of absorption of water condensation, but not the case with top coat treatment. The material is of good quality. The cork back if nice, the pattern is also nice and blends into it’s environment, but the gloss protection layer just negates all of those properties since it is a hard gloss coating, most likely fired on. Water just stays on top in a puddle. I don’t like the hassle of returning things so I took them out to the garage and sanded the top coating off, leaving a difference pattern but still ok. Oh and now they absorb water, how about that.
