Sweet kinda dated YA summer read

This book feels like the years 2000s in a time capsule, so much nostalgia. And not just for things that were popular at the time or the slang teenagers used but the way young girls saw themselves and were seen by others. It makes me so happy that we've managed to make progress since then because as someone who came of age a few years before Belly, wow we had a rough time. This story is peak YA so I am obviously no longer the target audience but it is still a quick enjoyable read with so many references to the past that I found endearing.

One of my favorite reads

I truly loved this book so much I read it in one sitting and immediately picked up the next one. I love how the characters grow through time and the setting is not only based on grown adults who have already experienced majority of their life leading up to this point. It allows the reader to grow with the characters and build a relationship and better understanding of where they came from and how they have become who they are. I’m attached to this series already. Also, imagining scenes is so easy because of Jenny’s ability to create a detailed, yet comfy vision of the summer beach house.

Great Summer Book

I got this book as a birthday present on November 1st and I absolutely loved the book it has an amazing timeline and is relatable for a 16-year old girl. I even watched the show, but I personally think that the book is better than the show. I have also read the sequels which are "It's Not Summer Without You" and "We'll Always Have Summer" and I enjoyed those too. I love the friendship between Beck and Laurel and the friendship between Belly and Taylor, I love how much love is in this book both friendship love and real love. Overall I think that you should get this book and the sequels too!

This book was very interesting.

I go this from my public library because i thought it would be good and it was worth the time. i heard about it and I feel like it is a great book for anyone who believes in summer lovin. I absolutley reccomed.

Highly Recommended

I never heard of this series till I watched the first teaser for the show, I was intrigued and I searched it up. I first saw that it was a book series, and I immediately bought the books and finish it reading the series in 3 days and they were so good!! I highly recommend reading the books and watch the series 2nd because it would be worth it .
