1. The concept of the absurd, which states that human existence is inherently meaningless and that individuals must find their own purpose in life. 2. The idea that individuals must create their own sense of meaning and purpose, as traditional beliefs and values may not provide a sufficient foundation. 3. The need for individuals to confront their own mortality and accept the finitude of life. 4. The rejection of traditional religious beliefs and the rejection of the idea of an afterlife as a way to find meaning in life. 5. The importance of embracing one's freedom and taking responsibility for one's own actions. 6. The idea that true freedom is found in the ability to accept one's own mortality and embrace the present moment. 7. The importance of living in the present and not dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. 8. The rejection of the idea that there is a predetermined path or purpose for individuals to follow. 9. The idea that the individual's struggle to find meaning in life is similar to the myth of Sisyphus, who was punished by the gods to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity. 10. The importance of accepting the human condition as it is and embracing the struggle to find meaning in life, rather than trying to escape it.

Fantastic Piece of Literature
This is the 40th book I’ve completed this year and it’s up there at the top of my list. In fact this is the only one I’ve felt compelled to review. Camus masterfully addresses topics such as suicide, work, love, politics and religion and does so in a way that is succinct and comprehensible. Highly recommended if you’re into this type of literature - I didn’t know I was until now!
