Enticing!

The Mistake - Elle Kennedy Off Campus - Book 2 My Review: My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pages: 296 Genre: Romance Tropes: Opposites Attract, Hockey Romance John Logan is a stellar hockey player on his university’s hockey team and it is his Senior year. There’s no doubt he will be drafted on to a pro team. Problem is it doesn’t matter that that is his dream, after graduation he has to take over tending to his alcoholic father and run his automobile repair shop for a few years and give his brother a break. Grace Ivers, attends the same university and meets Logan her Freshman year (his Junior year). They casually start seeing each other and in self pitting depression mood he pushes her away. Instantly regretting his mistake he sets out to win her back. Logan doesn’t see her again until the start of his Senior year and her Sophomore year. Let the groveling begin. This book deals with several social issues in a thoughtful way. I loved John Logan’s character. His determination to give up his own dreams to give his brother a much needed break. The way he treated Grace with respect and love putting her first. I also loved Sophomore year Grace who stood up for herself and who stood by Logan’s side no matter what. I highly recommend this book and this series!!! #booktok #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookrecommendations #bookstagrammer #bookish #bookworm #readersofinstagram #bookreview #bookaddict #bookcommunity #read #bibliophile #booksofinstagram #bookblogger #romance #fantasy #thedeal #ellekennedy #themistake

So In Love with This Series!!

Stepping back into the Off-Campus universe, I feel like I never left. The story picks right back up with Logan, Garrett’s best friend and rock star on the ice (and if campus rumors are correct – in other places as well). For Grace, freshman year at Briar University hasn’t been the most memorable experience. While she has had fun attending parties and meeting people with her roommate and best friend of thirteen years by her side, SHE hasn’t broken out of her shell and done something epic, something wild, something that makes her upcoming birthday worth celebrating (for once). Deciding to sit out one night of partying in exchange for feeding her lust for actions movies, Grace is shocked beyond words when she answers a knock on her dorm room door and finds herself staring at John Logan, star defenseman of the Briar University hockey team and one of the hottest guys on campus! Having played hockey since he was a kid, Logan has always dreamed of playing for the big leagues – that is until an unfortunate accident in his family sealed his fate, making any possibilities of his NHL dream non-existent. Accepting his post graduate future, Logan is determined to enjoy what life has to offer: women, parties, and did we say women? One problem, he is head over heels for his best friend’s girlfriend and can’t seem to move on. Needing to keep his distance from the happy couple, Logan decides to head to his friends dorm for a party. In his eagerness to escape, he is sans phone as he walks through the quiet halls. Believing he remembers the dorm room number, he knocks to find himself face to face with a gorgeous brunette. Still in need of a distraction and unable to connect with a cab company using her phone, Logan takes advantage of the situation. What was supposed to have been a quiet night in turns into an opportunity of a lifetime for Grace and an whirlwind unexpected revelation for Logan. I am consumed by the world Kennedy is beginning to build. Hannah was so instrumental in Logan’s romance and to see the transformation of Garrett make me want to keep reading this series. I can’t wait to dive into Dean’s story and see how these layers keep building!

I loved Logan and Grace!

I had a really good time reading this book! After loving the first book Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series, I couldn’t wait to read the next installment. I really enjoyed Logan and Grace’s story and found a big smile on my face as they worked to find their happily ever after. I am so glad that I decided to give this series a try. Logan and Grace were both great characters and I thought that they worked well together. Logan has been hung up on his roommate’s girlfriend but after meeting Grace he thinks she might be exactly the distraction that he needs. Grace is a freshman and she thinks that she might finally be ready to move things to the next level with Logan. Until he screws up. He is determined to win her back and do whatever it takes to make it happen. I thought that the chemistry between Logan and Grace was very well done. I really liked the way that they were with each other and I thought that their personalities really shined together. Each of them had some things that they were dealing with and I enjoyed seeing each of them tackle the problems they are facing. I thought that both characters showed a lot of personal growth over the course of the story. I did find some humor in this story, not quite as much as in the first book, but I thought that it added a nice element to the story. I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a wonderful romance with characters that I couldn’t help but love, some swoon-worthy moments, and a nice dose of heat. I cannot wait to read the next book in this entertaining series. I received a review copy of this book from Bloom Books.

Adorable new adult sports romance!

“My girl wanted me to send her a boudoir shot of me on a red velvet chaise lounge, but you have no idea how hard it is to find a --- red velvet chaise lounge.” I’m back for some more Off-Campus! I waited a bit to continue this series because I really loved the first book, and knew that I’d be unfairly judging the other books in this series if I just jumped straight into them. But now I was ready for Logan and Grace’s story, and I’m glad to say Elle Kennedy once again did a fantastic job with “The Mistake”! Grace Ivers cant believe that she’s caught the attention of one of Briar U’s hottest hockey players, John Logan. She thinks things between them are going really well and that Logan may not be the s*x-crazed college kid shes been lead to believe. But one night Logan makes a careless mistake that ruins everything they had, and he does everything he can to make it up to Grace and prove that he’s worth a second shot. I liked Logan and Grace’s book and relationship way more than I expected too! In just the first few chapters I instantly found myself relating to Grace in many ways, which led me to become really invested in her character. When it comes to Logan, I actually ended up liking him a lot more than I thought I would. I’m usually not a fan of guys who will hook up with any and every girl he can, but Logan quickly proved that for the right person, he could leave the constant hook-ups behind. I think they fit together perfectly, and their love story was adorable proof of that. Also I have to mention all the cute cameos from Hannah and Garrett, which always got me so excited since I absolutely loved them. The only part of this story that I had an issue with, was the last few chapters where Logan made another “mistake” and had to sort of win Grace back after they were fighting. The issue is that I was totally on Logan’s side, and I don’t believe he made any mistake at all. In my opinion Grace blew the whole thing out of proportion in a way that almost felt out of character. The fight and angst did create a really cute moment where they finally confessed their love towards each other, but it felt kinda forced and pointless. Overall I still loved this story and I’m so excited to continue this series and see where Logan and Grace’s relationship goes through the rest of college. I feel quite confident in giving “The Mistake” 4/5 stars.
