Choppy bullet points at best

First 47 pages is a bland explanation of the history / background of the author that concludes that they think it was written by Sun Tzu but there is no way to be 100% sure. Then the “13” chapters are just the super big picture bullet points and provide no further explanation. Do not buy this version

An Ancient Chinese Classic! The Art of War by Sun Tzu 5.0 Stars This ancient Chinese classic book is an awesome read for any military commander or person who really wants to win. The Art of War contains a large range of topics, from laying plans to figuring out how to survive in the worst situations. Sun Tzu goes in to detail about the strategy of war. For example, in Chapter I, he wrote that all “ warfare is based on deception.” In Chapter XIII the author says “Be subtle! Be subtle! And use your spies for every kind of business.” In Chapter VII Maneuvering, Sun Tzu writes about the amount of men that optimizes victory in a war, what to bring to war, and how to position your soldiers in dire situations. An inspiring quote is “Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night. And when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.” Another quote is in Chapter III, “If you know your enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles.” This book received a perfect 5.0 stars. The advice listed in the book applies not only to war but also to everyday life. A reader can learn a lot of things that can make their lives better.

Changes Perspective

You have to read this book! Before reading this book I did not realize how unprepared or mentally soft I was. This book changes the way you will do everything in your life for the better. The aspects and detail this book goes into are second to none. The best part is, it does not take a crazy amount of time to read. If I had to recommend a book to someone, this would be my first choice. It teaches you how to be prepared for the situations that happen in your life. If you read this book it will truely help you in more ways than you can imagine. Always be prepared before you go into life.
