Works with limit

I love the idea of scheduling the time turning on/of. I bought two for a rental property. One is for the porch light which was on 24/7. Another one is for the hallway. The switchmate for the porch works well. The one for the hallway doesn't work. The hallway lights are controlled by 3-way switches. The Switchmate doesn't work well with 3-way switch since the switchmate only works with the switch it covers. I would recommend this product for single pole switch.

Clunky, deceptive, Not worth your time

They market it as being compatible with Google home, but that's a stretch. In order for it to work, you need to have the Switchmate app open on your phone at the time. Google home acts as a relay and it tells your phone to send the on off signal with Bluetooth. If the app isnt open and on screen, it does nothing.

Great gift!

I love technology and wanted to help make my Grandma's home a little more tech-friendly for when she comes home at night when it's dark out. After searching and scouring the internet, I came across this light switch. It's great because it doesn't require her to have internet access, she doesn't have to set it up more than once, and it automatically flips the light on at a pre-determined time, which can be managed through an app. It's a great starter piece if you don't want to invest in making your whole home technology forward.
