Sur La Table Pretty but pour design

The Sur La Table Coffeemaker is really pretty and sleek. I only gave it 3 stars because it is impossible to pour the coffee without removing the lid. The lever on the lid didn't work well and I didn't feel the coffee was hot enough to add creamer. It brewed coffee quickly enough, but the wide mouth design, which is one of the reasons I purchased it, doesn't allow for all of the coffee to be poured due to the lip. I will return this machine.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is the worst coffee maker I have ever bought. I have a ton of pictures and videos I will try to add later. It's only saving grace is it's look. 1. Water reservoir - you have to be really careful when pouring because there is a thick slab of plastic leaving only 2 small spaces to pour. You will spill water 100% of the time. You can't use the carafe becasuse it's design causes leakage when you pour from it without the lid on. Well, actually even with the lid on. You can only pour enough water to touch the bottom of the 12. You cannot go to max fill line or it overflow. 2. Coffee pot. There is no way to ever empty it as it has a thick lip that captures the liquid on the inside. You will also have dripping every time you pour so you have to keep a towel hands. This is with lid on or off. The lid will get moldy and full of bacteria because it will hold water in it. For some reason there is a cavern in it that retains the coffee, water. 3. Drip stop. DO NOT USE THIS. Not only does it not stop it completely, your pot will block it and it will flow all over your counter once you remove it and return it. There is no way to get a cup of coffee before the brew is done and then you have to wait for it to completely empty into the pot. If you don't you will have a mess to wipe/mop up. I have tried getting used to all these quirks or should I say absolute failures but cannot. I am hoping to be able to return it. Now I see why it was on sale. I have to clean up a mess everytime I make coffee. I am 57 and know how to make coffee. This is an absolute failure. I have NEVER owned such a horrible product. Again, I will try to submit the videos of it pouring out onto counter to show the carafe was properly seated and all the pictures of the daily messes I had to mop up. Coffee is expensive and I was losing a 1/2 to full cup daily until I realized I have to pour less water and not touch pot until 15 miutes after brew stops.
