Who allowed this to be published?

I literally hate-read this book. I had only gotten to page 8, and I already knew it would be one of the worst books I’ve ever read. I was correct. I felt as though I was reading a ninth grade creative writing assignment, but that may be giving it too much credit. The writing was atrocious. The dialogue was absolutely ridiculous. It was like if a 14-year old tried to plagiarize Fight Club but only succeeded in making it unreadable. Why did he spend so much time going into bizarre detail about the physical appearance of every single woman in the book? Why was the phrase “had a blast” used a dozen times in one chapter? Why are white people still writing these racist black stereotypes? Why are straight, cisgender men still using the played out trope that all strippers have daddy issues? Ugh, I hate this book.

Good read

“Supermarket” by Bobby Hall (a.k.a) Logic is about the struggles of a young man on his journey to complete and release a book. He faces many struggles, with himself and other characters around him. The book uses many different styles of writing, but majority is from allusions, and these allusions alone help bring the book to life and help the reader get a better understanding of the book. It also speaks on mental health when it comes to Flynn’s goals and well being in different points of his life we see in the book. Overall I did enjoy the book for the most part. The story was great, the twists were good and even a lot of the comedy in the book was good. My only problems were that the ending seemed a tad short and kinds happens super quick compared to other stretched out chapters. Second is there are points where the narrator, Flynn, tends to mindlessly ramble on, which makes sense for his character but kinda gets a little boring. But overall good book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone really. It does a well job when talking about mental health and gives a realistic way people view others and themselves when facing mental problems. The book was a really fun read and helps give a good under about the author too. Thought it was good enough to check his music too. Overall 9/10 would read again time to time.

pretty good book

Through out the book Bobby Hall breaks the third wall with the reader reader to connect with his audience and his writing. he also uses craft tools like simile, metaphor, flashback, and lots of different types of imagery. I didnt really love how slow the book was at the beginning, it felt like the build up took forever. It only really captured my interest during the second half. It was a good book just had a hard time "getting into the book"
