Induction heats as electricity flows through a coil to produce a magnetic field under the ceramic plate. When a ferromagnetic cookware is placed on the ceramic surface, currents are induced in the cookware and instant heat is generated due to the resistance of the pan. Heat is generated to the pan only and no heat is lost.

Don’t buy. Internal overheat error.

We purchased two for a family dinner shabu shabu hotpot. Could never get the broth boiling. Total disaster. Both units kept getting E2 error “internal overheat”. No matter using temp mode or cooking mode. Adjustment from 900w to 1650w got E2 error. We end up having to bring the pot back and forth between the stove. We even tried putting broth in a smaller 1.5 quart pot. Same error. Absolute junk.
