Great find!

The placemats are very sturdy, the color is a perfect match for my dishes, and they clean up easily.

A little too busy of a pattern for me

I like the pattern, but by the time you put the blue Italian plates on this place mat, it is a little too busy of a pattern. They are cork lined place mats, I decided to keep them for another set - off white, simple plates. Worked great. Easy to clean.

received my parcel today. Ladies , I want to say that everything was packed very well. What can I say about napkins, this is a beautiful and high-quality product. It does not slip on the table and looks very nice. Definitely recommend!!!!

Peeled

I haven't owned these too very long and one of them is already starting to peel. They have been treated with care, and are only used twice daily, if that. I don't know what I'm going to do with just three of them at a table that seats four.

Best Placemats

The quality is superb. I bought 2 sets of 4 and was pleasantly surprised that they are as good as my original ones bought 24 years ago while living in Europe .My old ones are made in England and these are made in China. I have other products from Pimpernel and they are well made, easy to care and always beautiful. Thanks to Macy's for bringing these products to USA.

Toxic odor, unattractive matte finish

Placemats emit a terrible toxic odor, like vinyl chloride (from the glue that holds the cork backing to the surface?). And the finish is matte, not glossy like the same style mats I've purchased in the past. Not attractive, and the odor is especially worrisome since these are intended to be used at the dinner table. Returning them.
