Did not work at unboxing, Sparkel help was not helpful, so it is going back.

LOVE THE SPARKEL MACHINE BUT...

The sparkel machine is so much more affordable to make sparkling water than the ones with the gas. I own both and use the gas one as back up in case I run out of powder packs. You can even sparkle things like wine and juices but I wouldn't recommend it. If you do that you end up cleaning it out a lot because eventually it gets black mildew often. Buying a subscription to their carbonators is cost effective too. But! The carbonators that came with the machine are old or something and you have to pour a little water inside to get them working. It's not the machine that's broken, but the powders that come with it. Also, the powder never touches the water you drink so it does not add any off flavors or anything.

I really wish this thing would work

I bought this so I don’t have to hassle with co2 cartridges. It worked “ok” for the first 3-4 months, but then it was hit and miss. I’ve cleaned it inside and out, multiple times, unplugged it, plugged it back in, cycled it through the steps (while on and off). But there seems to be no rhyme or reason why sometimes it works, but usually doesn’t. There is power, but the power seems to have a mind of its own. Meaning, when I go through the steps to make myself a drink, and pull down the lever, the sounds and lights cycle through. Then the power just goes out. Then, by itself, sooner or later, the sounds and lights will cycle through. But my prompts to select a desired bubble level, and start carbonating my drink, do nothing (usually). Sometimes I get lucky, and it’ll start making me a drink. Other times it won’t. It’s hit or miss. I cross my fingers and hope for the best. But usually end up with a flat drink. At least until I toss this out and get something different
