Equipped with two 4-inch woofers and a 1-inch tweeter, the Sony SS-CS8 2-Way 3-Driver Center Channel Speaker handles 145W of peak power. This set contains a Sony SSCS8 2-Way 3-Driver Center Channel Speaker (Black), Speaker Grille, 4 x Foot Pads, and Limited 1-Year Warranty.

  • Product Features

    • The cabinet of the SS-CS8 is made from wood, which is designed to provide a natural resonance, and its bass reflex construction will give directionality to the low frequencies.
    • The speaker's crossover network is mounted directly to the cabinet for vibration isolation, which is intended to assure low signal loss.
    • Four rubber foot pads are included to isolate the speakers from your shelf, so as to reduce shelf vibration.
    • The SS-CS8 utilizes foamed, dual-layer mica woofer diaphragms - the upper surface is fashioned to deliver supple and faithful sound quality, while the bottom layer is designed to leverage low weight with strength for powerful bass response.
    • The crossover network in the SS-CS8 is intended to assure minimal signal loss for an energetic vocal response with even the most delicate nuances.

Sony SSCS8 Center Channel Speaker

This speaker has full, well-rounded sound. The dimensions are a bit smaller than most other center channel speakers, but that's a plus for the limited space I have available. It has a rear bass port, so I have mine about 4 inches from the wall and it has decent bass. I added it to my music-only home theater system and it's helped the vocals come through better than before.

When it comes to Sony home stereo components & Flat screen TV's I have always been pleased with my purchases. The center speaker I recently purchased was a great addition to my home theater system. Great price for a quality product.. Sound quality is excellent.

Great Center Channel Loudspeaker

Adds needed depth and presence to any home theater system. Went from an almost lifelong 2.0 system, to 2.1. After adding this center channel, I'm angry I hadn't added it sooner. Great clarity for speech/dialogue. Crisp highs, warm and inviting mid-range. 5 stars!

Excellent sound supplement !

I bought this center speaker system to compliment my Sony tower speakers. I positioned it dead center and it just adds a nice punch to my music. I'm really liking it so far.

Superb sound

I bought to replace the cheap center stock speaker that came w the Sony surround sound receiver set. The sound is like in a move theater.. and the dialogue is super clear.
