Great Book!

Son by Lois Lowry is a great book overall. It starts off with the main character named Claire in a hospital being prepared to deliver her baby. Once the time comes doctors come in and remove the baby from her stomach and Claire is set into another room. Something went wrong during the process of the birth and left Claire with a big scar on her stomach. A few days later she is let out of the hospital and is fired from her job of being a birthmother. Claire now works at a fish hatchery and visits the child nursery everyday to see her son. My favorite part of the book is when Claire has a dream of taking her child home but keeping him in a drawer so both of them don’t have to be scared of getting in trouble. This was my favorite part of the book because I found it funny and also a clever idea that Claire made up while dreaming. Overall Son by Lois Lowry is a fantastic book and anybody who likes reading dystopian novels should definitely read this book.
