Hello so I don't know where I read it but I believe this weighted blanket is around 10 pounds and usually it is recommended you get based on your body weight Like 10% I got the 50 x 60 size I used to have a lot of trouble sleeping at night I would wake up with nightmares and was not able to sleep and after I started using this blanket I sleep through the whole night and it keeps me warm I love it best purchase ever take it advantage of the sale

Very Comfortable!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Velvet to Berber Weighted Blanket in Pink and it is easily my new favorite blanket! This is my first time trying a weighted blanket and I love it! I love how large this blanket is so I can use it to snuggle up but also in bed at night. I also love how soft the material is on both sides. The weight of the blanket is well balanced so you get the feeling of a hug all over while using it. I would highly recommend this blanket to anyone wanting to try a weighted blanket!

What a lovely blanket!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Velvet to Berber Weighted Blanket from Sleep Philosophy I’ve heard a lot about weighted blankets and I’ve wondered if they were all they were cracked up to be. I have chronic pain and it causes me to have difficulties sleeping. I toss and turn, waking dozens of times every night. I decided to try the Velvet to Berber Weighted Blanket from Sleep Philosophy and see how it worked for me. I was really impressed with how lovely the blanket felt when I removed it from the bag. One side is luscious velvet in a beautiful shade of blue. The other side is listed as B rber, but it’s what I have always known as Sherpa. It’s soft and wooly, cream colored and lovely to touch. The blanket weighs 12 pounds, which I have researched and found to be one of the lighter blankets. I remade my bed using the weighted blanket and settled in for the night. I read at night and so I did that at first. I noticed that the blanket was definitely heavier than my usual blanket, but figured that it would take getting used to. I turned out the lights and went to sleep. Off and on that night, I would awaken, go to change position, and notice how much more difficult it was to move around. Again, I recognized the need to be patient and then adjusted myself and went back to sleep. That night was not fun. Nor was the next night. The third night was no better. It was difficult for me to move around because of chronic pain that made moving the blanket difficult. One hand is due to be operated on and it couldn’t grab the blanket very well, so I gave in at this point and offered the blanket to my kiddo. She took it with almost a reverence about her and immediately went to bed. When I asked her how she did with it, she absolutely loved it. Go figure! She slept like a baby and never moved the whole night. And she loves the snuggly feel to it as well. If not for the issues I have, I think I would have been happy with it as well. I'm glad at least she was able to enjoy it.

Relaxing sleep
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the Sleep Philosophy 15 lbs Velvet to Berber Weighted Blanket and it indeed makes us get better sleep and very cozy in bed. The materials used are high quality and is smooth to touch. We placed it on top of our comforter as an additional layer. It is very effective in keeping us warm on these cold nights. It makes you more relaxed like being hugged and the weight is just enough that it does not feel heavy and you can still move about underneath it. It makes the blanket hug the contour of your body making it sufficient in having neutral warmth - being the warmth of your own body. Another thing we like about it and noticed is that it does not slip off when moving around in bed in your sleep coz it’s weighted down.

I cannot figure out which side is my favorite against my skin- it’s great and versatile that I could use either side depending on my mood and temp. The Berber side I use for colder nights and the velvet for warmer nights. I have purchased two more as gifts for family.

So Cozy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is sooo soft and cozy, my first go at a weighted blanket. This one does seem to use beans, so it does make some noise but once you’re laying down, doesn’t matter. Perfect weight for me, love it!

Warm & Toasty!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blanket is warm and toasty...very soft and comfortable...was surprised at the "beans" or whatever they are inside it producing the weighted effect.....it can take a bit of juggling as a result to get the blanket evened out to where you want it, but, once you do, it is great! Our kids actually wished we got one in a larger size!
