Wonderful anti-aging essence

I’ve been using SK-II products for nearly 10 years. The LXP line is more effective than the original, but both are good. This essence has kept my skin moist and smooth without dry, flaky spots in frigid Midwest winters. My face definitely started to age more gradually after consistent use. This bottle lasts about 4-6 months with twice daily application.

Unfortunately Caused Breakouts

I have been using SK-II products for years and have never had an issue with their Facial Treatment Essence (can't live without this), face masks, clear lotion or Facial Treatment Cleanser, but the LXP Ultimate Revival Essence sadly caused major breakouts for me. I have extremely sensitive skin, but I was suprised it had this effect because I thought this product was just a more concentrated version of the Facial Treatment Essence. I found that it actually includes additional ingredients not found in the regular treatment essence. I even continued using the product for a couple of weeks, hoping my skin would build up its tolerance, but it didn't - the breakouts got worse. It especially stings to say this because it was very expensive and now I'm left with a nearly full bottle that I can't use. I've switched back to the regular facial treatment essence in the hopes that it gets my skin back to normal.

The best upgrade

I had been using the FTE for about 2 years until I decided to try the LXP version. At first I thought how could it be possible better than the original? And to my surprise, it made my skin even more bright and glowing. My stubborn hyperpigmentation has lightened up significantly and my skin is smoother and softer. Honestly I wanted to hate this product because it’s more expensive for the price per oz. But now, I can’t go back to the original FTE ever again. If you’re on the cusp of deciding to upgrade to LXP, I can assure you don’t hesitate. The best thing I’ve done for my skin was purchase the LXP FTE!!!

WORTH EVERY PENNY

I know, I know it's expensive. Invest in your skin, use the after pay. I was using the reg Essence and talked myself out of buying this one. I didn't realize how amazing this was until I saw pictured of myself. This is now my 3rd bottle. I wish they had loyalty points and more sales. SK ll is all I use at 47

Worth every penny

The best essence I have ever used. Your skin changes within 3 weeks. Take pictures otherwise you think nothing is happening . I switched to SKll entire line . I have used everything from med skin grade to Tatcha. I am AA and I love THIS BRAND. Its better than the reg Essence and that is pretty powerful

What it actually does

Reading some of these reviews makes me laugh because it seems as though people think this is a toner which it is not. It is a step that goes after a toner. How is it different from a toner? LXP Essence has zero to do with the cleaning process of your routine. What it actually does is renews your cell turnover rate much faster than it naturally renews itself. Skin takes 27 days to renew itself naturally. LXP Essence speeds that up to every 3 days which is amazing. I love this stuff. The price has always been worth it to me because I know what its actually doing and can see the results super fast. As long as you are using it correctly day and night you will see a difference in 3 days. Your skin will look younger and healthier. 10/10 recommend.

It was okay! Overall it was a super nice product, however it broke out my skin :(. BUT, it did leave my skin SUPER soft right after I used it. I would probably remove the fragrance so it wouldn't break out my skin as much.
