This redeems the first book!

(4.5 stars) I feel redeemed after my feelings about SHADOW AND BONE because SIEGE AND STORM is so much better! I’ve never come across this situation where I really didn’t care for the first book in the series and loved the second book - ACOTAR doesn’t count because I like the first book, ACOMAF just happens to be better. Also, my likes / dislikes for this book is going to be really hard without spoilers. Likes: -Alina. I’m still really digging her as a narrator. I like that she isn’t perfect. -That a good portion of the book was on a pirate ship. I love pirate ships. -A list of characters I liked vaguely because spoilers: Sturmhond, Tamar, Tolya, David, Zoya Dislikes: -The food. I never want eat there. *barf* -Not enough pirate ship. -A list of characters that disappointed me or I disliked because vaguely because spoilers: The Darking, Mal, Genya, The Apparat I’m so happy to be fully invested in this series now. Like I want to know what happens next. I almost picked up another book after reading SHADOW AND BONE because I was a disappointed. The only thing that kept me going was the tv show, but I adored this book and it is what I love about fantasy novels! The intrigue, the magic, the romance, the battles - it was just full of adventure and fun! SIEGE AND STORM was an excellent and captivating read! I’m very, very excited now for the conclusion.
