Crappy
I purchased this for my 5 year old twin grandsons for their birthday. After finally getting a chance to open the box and attempt to play with it, I found that only one boat works for a COUPLE of minutes and the other boat doesn't work AT ALL. Unfortunately, I purchased this after the return policy has been changed to 30 days (instead of 90) and it was 10 days after return window had closed. Called customer service where rep offered me a $10 credit (better than nothing, I guess!). Not only am I completely bummed by the crappiness of this toy, but my grandsons are devastated. I will stick to buying toys from a toy store and will try it out immediately to ensure it's in working condition in the future. I definitely would not recommend this item.

A little sad
Must admit the display and packing of the toys caught me eye, and it truly is a great concept that could be loads of fun. However, the poor quality of the most important pieces kind of made this a complete holiday downer. I bought it for Christmas. One boat doesn’t work at all, the second boat only one propeller worked and the boat went in circles. I will admit the inexpensive inflatable track had it charm. I return the product to another retailer where I purchased it. I bought it a Macy’s two day after Christmas, for roughly the same price I paid the first time. I blew up the pool, charted the boats, hoping to carrying the plan I had for Christmas over to New Yeara Eve. One boat works great, and the second boat ran for about 30 seconds. I dried it off and fully charged it again and got the same result. I was so excited about this product, but there is now way I’m giving it a third chance. Returning it for a refund today.

I bought this item as a Christmas gift. I would love to review the product AFTER it’s been used, with ample time for evaluation. I would have waited but the company doesn’t take unsubscribe for an answer. Irritating.

The size is perfect and the quality is really good. All in all it’s very good product. I highly recommend for play time outside.

Fun, lively, challenging, quick play
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pool size is 3 feet x 4 feet, which fits on both our wood picnic and our glass patio table. We took the set to our local park several times, setting up on a plastic tablecloth covering a picnic table (to avoid splinters), and were quickly surrounded by other adults and youngsters watching and then taking turns playing with much good-natured laughter and teasing. A rechargeable battery is included for each of the two brightly colored boats. We merely needed to add our own 8 AA batteries, 4 for each remote control. Use the remote controls to recharge the boat batteries or charge them from wall outlets. Using the remote to charge the boat batteries is especially convenient when we are playing in a remote location like a park or campground. Blowing up the pool is simple and quick, which makes it easy to set up for hours of play and then deflate and store to play again another day. It is a fun and lively challenge to move my boat around the track while trying to find the right speed to create enough wave to throw my opponent off course while avoiding my opponent’s waves and still staying on course. The pool, boats, and accessories are well designed, sturdy, easy to deflate and dry for storage between uses. Hydro Racers is a very enjoyable addition to our game shelf.

Works great!

It has easy set up, the remotes are easy for little hands to use and it is very durable. We have spent a lot of time playing with this and the kids have a blast with the pool!
