Do your homework

Bought this the end of January. Because of a surgery, I was unable to use it for a month. Since then I have used it 4 times. I find this vacuum very heavy, tips easily when using just the wand, and the hose is way too short to reach higher areas. I am old school so getting comfortable to the changes in suction power is difficult for me. I do appreciate the lights on the handle and base, does well on bare floors, but generally not happy with this one…I have purchased 3 other shark vacuums over 20 + years (have many pets - dog, cats, and birds) and still like the original purple one ( long gone). I would return this for something easier and lighter, but I believe I missed the deadline. Probably will gift it to my daughter…. Do like some of the extra tools…

Good But….

Just bought cuz my Dyson finally died. I really wanted to luv this. It has great suction and a plus on the lights. But it’s such a hassle to pull out canister to vacuum stairs. I have 3 sets of stairs and it’s terrible. Then putting canister back, forget it. Having to lug it around, I’m over this. Can’t even return cuz I already shredded box. Too bad cuz it did seem to be good vacuum but certainly more of a hassle than what it’s worth!!

I own a lot of shark products, I really like this brand. I purchased this vacuum last year and the first thing I noticed was the suction power! This thing is a BEAST at picking up pet hair, dander and tiny particles of dirt! I have wood floors and I have rugs. Shag rugs. So obviously they are a pain to clean and with two frechies, there’s a level of acceptance when it comes to how clean I can get- well, anything. TO MY SURPRISE, the vacuum works on my rugs. I have to go a little fast so it doesn’t catch BUT IT PULLS SO MUCH STUFF OUT OF THERE. Truly, my only complaint, is that the CORD is so stiff! It catches on EVERYTHING, including itself and pulls itself out of the outlet. It’s so frustrating! I’ve never had any cord like this before and I absolutely HATE it. Also, the placement of the cord “storage” is on the side, which can prevent the ability to get into and around tighter spaces. The other thing that can be a little frustrating is the sensor. Sometimes it just, doesn’t. Then you gotta stop and wipe it before you can start again. It’s not that big of a deal, but it does make the whole cleaning process longer. And nobody wants that!

Really great features and suction!!!

I love my new vacuum! It is unreal how much suction that it has. You need to watch what you have close to the nozzle because it will suck it up. The best!!!

The first unit did not work properly, I contacted Shark CS and they sent me a replacement vacuum. I have had it about a week now it appears to be working correctly. Time will tell.

Way better than Dyson.

We've had this vacuum for a couple months now. We have been loyal Dyson customers for fifteen years. Was tired of the Dyson collecting hair on the roller ball and smelling. The Dyson was horrible to take apart and clean. This Shark has amazing suction, great accessories, the scent feature is amazing, and hair doesn't collect on the bar!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY

I have had for a month I have had many sharks this one is the ABSOLUTE WORST!! DO NOT BUY!! Blows fuses all the time and DOES NOT vacuum area rugs AT ALL. HORRIBLE I always read reviews but didn’t bc I have always loved my sharks. HUGE MISTAKE!!

My son bought me this vacuum for Christmas and is the best vacuum yet!
