You can feel confident that this will encompass your entire mattress and block out allergens and water, but it comes with significant tradeoffs. The material is quite thick compared to other waterproof mattress covers I've used (only one face is waterproof, and the rest is a thickly woven polyester). It definitely runs pretty hot underneath you--in fact I'm not sure I'll be able to keep using it into the summer, which kind of defeats the purpose of buying it. It also fits really really big on my thick foam mattress, so much so that you might wonder at first if you got sent the wrong size. A good mattress protector gives you peace of mind without constantly reminding you it's there by bunching up under your sheets and making you hot, and that's not this one.

I got this Sealy Allergy Advanced Mattress Protector, white, Queen and so far I like it. It doesn’t make us feel hot when we lay on it as some other mattress protectors tend to do. I’d probably get more for kids mattresses

Soft, quiet, works well
This is a great mattress cover. It is easy to put on and take off and cleans easily. It is waterproof, quiet, and does a good job protecting the mattress. It is soft, well made, and feels like high quality material.

As someone who both suffers from allergies, and occasionally like’s to eat and drink in bed, I really appreciate the multifaceted benefits and protection provided by this wonderful, well made mattress protector from Sealy. The protector is nice looking, durable, simple to use, zippers smoothly, fits well over my mattress, and is uncomplicated to put on and take off.
