The lock won't unlock rubbish don't buy only had 4 weeks

I would not buy this gate again

The gate was easy to install, closes behind pretty quick to keep baby out. However after about a week the top button broke making it very difficult to open one handed. I have to push the button down with 2 hangs squeeze the bottom button and shake the gate up and down till it opens. Not very helpful when you have a sleeping baby in your arms and you want to take them to bed.

We use it to block off the kitchen. It works great, it's strong when the baby pulls on it, it stays in place.

We use these gates for our toddler and our dogs! Easy to set up and install. Heavy-duty but not overly bulky. Easy swing to close. Love it!

Magnetic Latch

Magnetic latch is hard to use. Worked fine for a day then it becomes stuck. I took it apart and checked the mechanism to see if anything is broken. Nothing seems wrong. I put it back and it worked fine but after several uses it becomes stuck and you cannot push on the buttons to open the door.

Just a headache.

I have two of these and when it's working it's great, but it's easy for it to all fall apart because of the poor way this gate is designed. My one year old has already torn the door right out of its frame and she doesn't even lift. Specifically the top hinge can just flop out and doesn't sink in like you expect it to (you can see this even in promo photos here). That alone is one thing but the instructions included with the gate show a different model with a DIFFERENT hinge system! How are you supposed to trust a gate that doesn't even come with the right instructions? You can see this in real time right now as the pdf of the instructions is linked on this store page. And forget the lock being level, that's not happening. One side just ends up slightly higher than the other no matter due to the odd hinge. The lock mechanism still works fine but doesn't inspire confidence. The promo pictures here can't even get those to be level either. Pieces pull apart over time/useage. Everything can be put back and refastened but you need to keep a close eye on it or it will pop out and an inopportune moment. Overall this gate is just a headache, which is the last thing you need with a new baby.

I have a 3 year old daughter and a 7 month old Mastiff puppy. He likes to go in her room and chew her toys. I needed a gate that would be functional for the whole family. I really have never like pressure gates before because i find them very inconvenient to either uninstall or step over (I have really short legs). I love the walk thru design of this gate! Works exactly how I need it to! No more chewed barbies!!
