[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a couple of months ago. This is an easy to set up alarm system. Has wifi built it and can pair with an Alexa. The one negative is that if you would like to add more sensors, cameras, etc. it does start to add up in price. If you're looking for a basic alarm system that is easy to us this is a good option.

Not inclusive as I thought
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying I am not a technologically inclined person. When I got the Ring alarm pro, I thought I would be able to set it up myself. That was not the case. I had to have a friend come help me. I also did not realize that to get the full effect you have to pay for monitoring services.

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) establishes the internet in your home, which provides wifi in your residence. Some ISPs require specific configurations, such as PPPoE or VLAN tagging, so that the modem can communicate with your eero gateway. If they do, the Ring Alarm Pro may detect that it does not have an active connection through your modem or other network equipment and instead use the cellular backup connection during setup. Ring offers two types of monitoring options for Ring Alarm systems: self-monitoring and professional monitoring. Self-monitoring is when you monitor the Ring Alarm yourself. You and your Shared Users can call emergency services if there is a genuine threat, such as a fire, break-in, or other emergency at your home. Great tool for managing several devices
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the base station rather than a prepackaged kit to allow me to pick and choose various things to add. I've since bought a few of the stick on cams to cover the high traffic areas in my house - garage, front door, and backyard. They all work really well. It's all pretty seamless. I don't like the idea of being tied into a subscription service, so I wish there was a 'free' rewind feature for 30 days that you always got the benefit of since you've paid a lot already for the hardware cost - but I guess these days, everything is on a subscription model so it's inescapable. I have a large house (4400sf) and the range of the base station required some extenders to make wifi work in the far corners of the house. Aside from that, setup is pretty easy, and all the Ring additional hardware works seamlessly and is easy to add.

Great Solution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this alarm base about a month ago to replace my existing home alarm system. I have a hard-wired system and needed to add the interface from Ring to tie these together. It saved me the hassle of replacing all of my sensors-the wired sensors attach to the interface and it works with this base-pretty genius. It also connects with my existing Ring doorbell. I will be adding some Ring cameras with spot lights-they will also tie in. It is a router and a backup cellular router, in case normal internet goes down. There is also a backup battery built-in, so that your alarm still works during a power outage. There is a LOT packed into this little box. And it can all be controlled through the APP.

I didn’t know I needed this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Alarm Pro Base station for Ring. Before I just had the ring doorbell and wanted more protection but didn’t know where to start. This Alarm Pro was exactly what I needed. It was easy to set up and subscribe to the right security for me. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if for whatever reason my wifi messes up it will not affect my alarm system and that is all I need to feel safe!

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alarm Pro Security Kit, 8-Piece whole-home protection, with a fast eero Wi-Fi 6 router, and network security. We use it as our primary router and we connected it directly to our modem and replaced our existing network. It is easy to hook up, use, and works with all of our Ring products.

Works great - difficult set up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who runs a business from home this device is great to use as my WiFi router with backup internet. The downfall is that installation is cumbersome and the instructions aren't very straightforward. Additionally if you want to add on other security features it adds up quickly. Good for what I need but I don't know that it is really worth the money for my intended use.

Great for any Ring owner!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this Ring Alarm Pro Base Station and am so happy! I have a ring video doorbell, a ring flood light camera and a ring spotlight cam. I have had a few connection hiccups with my doorbell as it is the furthest thing from my router originally. UNTIL I got this base station! I replaced my router and have noticed an extreme difference!! The connection has not been lost and I can live view anytime! This has improved my speeds tremendously in comparison to my previous router. The set up is easy to follow though I am quite tech savvy to begin with. Just use the instructions provided and there should not be any issues setting up. I have all of my home device as well as ring devices hooked to the base station. It is not Ring specific which is perfect!! You won't be sorry!! Great product & a seamless more streamline connection!
