Such an easy read!

I just started really getting into reading a few weeks ago. This was the 4th book I’ve read and I thought maybe because I’m so new to reading that as amazing and I thought it was, that I just haven’t read enough yet. NO. I was wrong. This book is such a good read! I highly recommend it, especially if you like her other stuff. I cried like 3 times. Love love love

Grief and Forgiveness

Family, Loss, Betrayal and Redemption. This book is so much different than the romantic novels one usually reads. It wasn’t just between 2 people. The love in this book came from the deepest depths of the characters. Especially what a mother would do for her daughter. I wanted to feel for them, I wanted to cry for them, I wanted to slap them. Will definitely pull on your heartstrings.

I would re-read

I haven’t read a book this good in a long time. I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it and just couldn’t put it down. I love the mixed of emotions and how strong it made me feel. I literally cried in some parts and I love it!

Pretty good

I was recommended this book by a CoHo fan, and I really loved It Ends With Us, but I didn’t love this book as much as I thought I would. It has a really great message, also enemies to lovers troupe which I love. It was a little boring for me and didn’t have a lot to really grab my attention, but at times I was very reeled in to the point of tears (especially when she explains the death of Scotty, and when she reunited with Diem). Once again Colleen sheds light on a topic I didn’t have much thought on, which is great. I’ll probably end up rereading it but it’s not my favorite read.

Main Highlights!

I recently read this book in the past month and I'm so glad that I got the chance to pick it up because I truly went on one heck of a journey in this book! Let me tell you about it! It's about love, sadness, and how forgiving someone can make things better. The story takes place in this little town by the ocean, and it follows a girl named Kenna who's going through some tough stuff after something bad happens. But then she meets this guy named Liam, who's got his secrets. What's cool about this book is how it goes back and forth between the past and the present. It helps you understand why Kenna and Liam are the way they are. And let me tell you, the way the author describes the town and the ocean, it's like you're right there with them! But the absolute best part of the book is Kenna and Liam themselves. They feel like real people. They've got good parts and bad parts, just like everyone else. You root for them to figure things out and be happy together. Of course, there's a bunch of stuff that gets in their way. They feel guilty, they don't know how to trust each other sometimes, and some other people try to mess things up for them. But they also have some really fun adventures together and make some really good memories. Reading this book, I felt all sorts of things. Sometimes I was sad, sometimes I was happy, but I always felt hopeful. It made me think about forgiveness and how it can help you heal, even when it's hard. Ergo, "Reminders of Him" is worth checking out. If you're into stories about love and forgiveness, you're gonna love this one!

Highly recommend

This book is so inspirational and a very emotional book. The love Kenna has for Diem and Scotty both is so amazing. The last page when she relieves the name of her newborn son I cried like a baby.

Sweet story, easy read, wraps up neatly.

A touching story that tugs at your heart strings and wraps up, beautifully. Likes: -Not uncommon of some of Hoover's other books, this book shifts perspectives and POV between the two lead characters in alternating chapters. This book would not work without getting to understand the intricacies of all the emotions and thoughts that are left unsaid. -As the plot develops, it makes you question what you would do and how you would feel in this complex scenario. Like with most of life's challenges, the answer is never simply black and white, and our opinions and answers often shift. -Some welcome, sensual tension is sprinkled, throughout. -It has a sweet, albeit predictable, happy ending. Dislikes: -Typically, I find Hoover's works to be less predictable than this one, and feature more of her signature plot twists. For some, I suppose this could be a nice break from some of her other, emotionally-whiplashing novels. -I feel it wrapped up almost a little too nicely. All of the various relationship dynamics and conflicts throughout the book were unrealistically tied off with a shiny bow. Again, however, this is likely a welcome shift for both Hoover and some of her readers.
