It gets the job done.

This is a good light. It is bright but does not illuminate the whole page like I had hoped. I use it regularly and I am happy with it.

Not very bright.

Couldn't find measures of the brightness of the light - now I see why. It just isn't very bright. May return it.

Can only read one word at a time

This light shines with such a tiny light that you really can't read a whole sentence, much less a paragraph. Not good.

No substitute for old fashioned reading lights

I like that it's rechargeable and all that, and the beam is slightly adjustable in brightness. Regardless the light is harsh and casts light and shadow around the room when trying to read without disturbing others, and at the same time the light on the book isn't as good as it could be, not by any means. I might have purchased a different light, because the store had a whole rack of them, but the ones I was looking at were on the bottom two shelves, and while I was looking at them one of the store associates walked by and said "You can't sit on the floor, ma'am." Didn't offer to help me up, or look at the merchandise on the lower shelves, just grumped at me and kept walking. So I just took the rechargeable one I was looking at, got to my feet, and went to check out. I'll probably buy another type of light somewhere else eventually.
