Completely shattered on arrival

I made the mistake of not opening the package on arrival, because it was so large and it was a gift for my husband. Once we did open the box, it was completely shattered. This happened over a weekend where I tried to use the chat with customer service. It kept saying I was chatting with an agent and the dropping the call. Calling the 1800 number, I only got recordings and never an actual person. We even went to a Macys home store and they said I had to call the number, they couldn’t help me. Now, Monday, I called the number and they said there was nothing that could be done because it had been 32 days. If I had been able to Get ahold of someone when I was originally calling, it would have been within the time frame. They said they have no way of knowing if it happened in the house. As you can see in the picture, it is still in the box. Very disappointing on the customer service side!
