pretty cute junk
The electrical plug is magnetic and come loose easily. It cooks fried chicken well and heats up good. Just cheaply made. Used it twice but the temperature goes down or auto shut- off after 45 min even while cooking.

Underwriters Laboratories require that all Presto® deep fryers have a magnetic cord for easy/fast disconnection of the appliance for safety purposes. They also have a length requirement for the cord. Not worth it
I bought this 6 months ago and only use it a few times a month. Changed oil out 3 different time. On the third time I changed out oil it would not heat up. Went through trouble shooting and still nothing. Power light comes on and some heat come from the process but will not heat up to temp. Oil remains at luke warm temp.

Filter lid pops off
Used a few times, the top that keeps filter in place pops off every time you open the lid.

Crap
The oil always seems to over heat no matter what temp you have it at. Lid is cheap and basket up and down are poorly made.

Waste of money and time
Takes forever to heat and will not heat to 375 degrees,some where in mid 60' is best it will do. Just a waste of money

Really enjoying our cool-daddy!
Purchased the cool daddy for my husband after our fry daddy stopped working (had used for years!). He loves the safety features such as the basket slide and the lid. He likes the ability to control the temperature for different food types. He also likes the larger basket so that he can cook larger fillets. This fryer works nicely for my husband and me. I love how easy it is to clean the fryer! I use a dishcloth after each fry. Then I disassemble for a deep clean when we change the oil. It’s very easy. Would advise to purchase a larger unit for a family of more than 3 or so. Great fryer for us!

Presto CoolDaddy Deep Fryer
We just used the fryer for the first time this weekend, and it was great! Mixed reviews had me concerned, but it worked exactly as it should. I did notice if the back of the fryer isn’t at the edge of your countertop, the magnetic end of the plug may not connect well enough to power on. It heated up quickly, and the handle to raise/lower the basket seems safer than the previous brand we had. As claimed, the unit stayed cool to the touch while frying. We have no complaints so far; we’re happy to have found this on sale!
