Needs better spoon

I love mixing my own powder with other skincare. But my plastic spoon just broke in half and I'm only about 80% through with my jar. I also find the spoon too small to go all the way down to the bottom. I wish Philosophy had a metal spoon option, as I've searched for over an hour this morning for a spoon replacement and haven't found one. Therefore 4 stars only.

Benefits existing damage, excellent prevention

20 years ago, a dermatologist told me that vitamin c in the am and vitamin a in the PM would improve my skin & reduce/delay wrinkles/signs of aging. Truth. Too many vitamin c preps oxidize, this one does not(if stored correctly). I mix a scoop in 2 or 3 pumps of Cereve lotion, mix thoroughly in my palm & apply it to my face, neck & hands every morning (& retinol 3 or 4 times/week at night). I'm 56. Almost daily I get compliments about my skin & asked what I use (I work w/the public)- my hair is white/gray so guestimated age isn't a big secret. It was not the norm for me to receive these compliments prior to using Turbo C. The large sun worshiping spot on my lower cheek has not been positively affected, but the multiple spots on my forehead have, significantly so. Fine lines are also not evident in my resting face. I can't say enough about this product - it has transformed my skin. Don't expect it to work miracles if you don't hydrate or skip a vegetable or a fruit or 2 for days on end

Good so far, but a little smelly

I like that this is a powder that can be added to any of my existing products which keeps my routine flexible. I do think that it's working to lighten my dark spots and overall redness. The only thing I don't like about it is the metallic smell. I have to be very careful how much I add to my products because otherwise I can smell it all day. I will keep using it to see the long term impact.

Good for skin condition, but stains brown!

I've been using this Vitamin C with Hope Is Not Enough Serum for over a month now and have noticed brown staining on my face in my eyebrows, at my hairline and under my chin, where I tend to stop the application. After doing some research, I've discovered that this is the normal result of the oxidation of vitamin C with exposure to air! It turns into erythrulose, one of the ingredients in self-tanners! If you want a combo self-tanning product, go ahead and use this product. But since you can't see where you're applying this, as you can with a self-tanner, you're at risk of streaking. I'm done with this product for now - I hate my skin having these brown stains, as they look either like I haven't washed my face or I have strange age spots!

Must have

I have used this product before. It is a must have for any serious beauty routine. I use it with a ski oil or balm under my moisturizer. Smoothed deep lines and keeps my skin glowing.

Melasma disappeared

I normally use the water cream and retinol at night. Never could really tell if they made a difference, but I have decent skin. I am 1 year postpartum and have had melasma under my eyes ever since. Kinda bothered me, but kinda didn’t. Decided to add in the c booster to my water cream every morning. Within 2 weeks, Melasma was gone! I’ll stick with it for sure!
