These Headphones Last!
I have had 18 of these in my classroom full of wild kindergartens for 4 years and not a single pair has broken! Only one is missing an ear pad and one only works on one side. Pretty amazing considering daily use! All of the other brand headphones broke within the first months. I recently spent my money on 6 more! Thank you Phillips for making an outstanding and durable product.

Not volume limited
Purchased for my Kindergarten child to be used in class. The website and packaging states the volume is limited to 85db for hearing protection but the volume is incredibly loud and definitely not limited. I would not recommend purchasing these for young children to use at school.

Thanks for sharing this here! Exceeding the limit is of course not what should happen. Kindly reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter (@PhilipsCare) for us to look into this further and see how we can solve this best. Hope to hear from you!
Not limiting volume
I bought this kids headphone mainly due to it saying it is volume limiting for kids. However... it is NOT volume controlled at all. I tried it myself and couldn’t even turn the volume to the max without hurting my ear drums. Something I would not recommend to anyone as it doesn’t do what it says on the box.

Decibel range was NOT limited!
Our children had a pair of these each - with one pair one earpiece failed after a year or so. My kids aren't generally rough with things, but it could have been accidental. The BIG PROBLEM was that we eventually realised that they were not volume limited as promised - ie unsafe for children's hearing. Discovered our daughter listening to music at unsafe volumes (painful to our ears). We hadn't bothered teaching her about not turning it up too loud because we trusted the product would do what it promised. Compared the volumes with a new pair of kids headphones from a different brand and adults' headphones - the Philips headphones did not limit the volume at all. Not recommended at all!
