Good but not Great

Haven't tried the thermometer yet. This is the third probe I've purchased and the wires separate from the probe after six months. The unit still works. Someone should fix this. At times it's hard to remove the probe from meat. It just doesn't slide out easily.

Great Leave-In Thermometer when it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a great leave-in thermometer when it works. Somehow the probe stops working. I don't know why; this is my 3rd purchase, maybe 3 times the charm. I store the probe onto the thermometer itself as it shows then after about 6 months it doesn't work. Yes, I've replaced the batteries, but it doesn't work. When it does work my medium rare steaks on the grill are perfect, juicy, just delicious. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, I'm willing to try anything, but if this last one I bought breaks, I'm done. Sorry OXO, I LOVE your products and have many in my kitchen, but this thermometer has me stumped.

No more guessing for doneness!

This is a tool one can get very attached to - easy to use and are alerted with sound when the preset temperature is reached. Just make sure the chosen doneness matches the temperature and enjoy your choice!
