So far this works fine. I have not used it much, but I do find these little thermometers generally do not last long, so I replace them every couple of years.

A “MUST HAVE” in my kitchen !!

Top of list for MOST USED kitchen tool. Use daily, accurate and reliable, and user friendly… small, easy to clean and store. ONLY PROBLEM… hard to find for retail purchase in rural areas!

Unusable Unless You Remove the Battery Tab

Unfortunately the tab that protects the battery cannot be easily removed unless you open up the battery compartment. The screw is extremely small and difficult to remove. A normal small screwdriver doesn't work. You need a special size to do this. Without removal of the tab you can't use the thermometer. Waste of money.
