Not safe to use!
I received this about 2 months ago and used it quite a bit. Today, I found chips of metal coming off into my food. (I was using a glass bowl to mix) I saw one fairly large piece and wiped it off into the garbage thinking something fell in. After I felt that it was sharp I looked into my food closer and started seeing many little shards (see picture). After inspecting the beater, more little bits of plating started coming off very easily and revealed a very shap edge. I dont know if this happened each time I used this mixer but i used this to prepare my family meals.

at first the beaters came out, after searching the web site I was able to learn that you just have to place the palm of your hand and wait for it to click

Tall!
This is the first time I have ever encountered something like this … This is my third Oster boost of power hand mixer. So who in a million years would have thought that Oster would make hand mixer is so tall that it would be uncomfortable to use? Obviously not me. I am 5’4” and have to put on my shoes on order to hold onto the mixer correctly and not keep hitting the boost button. If I could take it back, I would in a heartbeat.

Great mixer
I really like this mixer!!! And I especially love the heat function. However the clip on the storage case broke. I was wondering how I can replace just the storage case??

Love the features of this mixer!
I have to admit I did not love this mixer at first. I could not get the beaters to stay in. So I thought I would go on Oster's website to see what I was doing wrong. After reading the reviews I saw I wasn't the only one having trouble. I thought there has to be a reason we are all having trouble. So I went and got my mixer. I placed the beaters in and realized if I pressed with the palm of my hand they actually do pop in with a click sound. I love that the mixer is self contained and happy with my mixer!!

Beaters won't stay in
I bought this beater several years ago, but have only used it twice. The beaters kept falling out during both uses. I just threw in the trash a few minutes ago.

Junk
Purchased for my wife for Christmas 21', and tried to use it for the first time tonight (jan 22'), and it doesn't mix. Blows hot air and the beater will move briefly and stop.

Do not recommend
I was given this hand mixer for Christmas 2020. I really didn’t want to complain about this hand mixer because my son gave it to me…so I tried sticking it out….BUT…one year later my beaters are rusting. Now for sure, I can’t use it. The noise level on this hand mixer is crazy! The beaters pop out every once in a while, I believe something is bent inside because the beaters rub each other and makes an even louder noise. I bake a lot and really wanted to love this one but it just doesn’t hold up.
