On the other side, the influential Fedorov brothers serve their father, the crime boss known as Koschei the Deathless, whose community extortion ventures dominate the shadows of magical Manhattan. After twelve years of tenuous co-existence, a change in one family's interests causes a rift in the existing stalemate. 6 start book! wow

i read this back in October 23 to preface. Write me a tragedy, Lev Fedorov,” she whispered to him. “Write me a litany of sins. Write me a plague of devastation. Write me lonely, write me wanting, write me shattered and fearful and lost. Then write me finding myself in your arms, if only for a night, and then write it again. Write it over and over, Lev, until we both know the pages by heart. Isn’t that a story, too?” she asked him softly. personal thoughts: I first just wanna say that, this is my first read Olivie Blake and I am now forever a fan of her work. If she rights it? I will read it! The way she writes is completely captivating. She is truly gifted in literature. mini review: from the first page, I had a feeling that this book was going to be very well written. I loved the style structure. To include even pictures and inserts of Romeo and Juliet acts/quotes before new chapters really set the tone for this novel. The character development, the plot, the romance, and so much more had me staring at a wall for the rest of the night after finishing this book. If you love Romeo and Juliet alone, you’re gonna love this book. But if you love magic, mystery, slight adventure, forbidden love & Russian folklores you’re going to LOVE this book. I was never one for an enemy to love or trope, however Ms. Olivie Blake has now changed my focus on that trope. If it is written in the way that she did it, I will forever always read it. We are just now starting out with an dark academia in or fantasy. I highly recommend this read. It was on the more easier side and it’s definitely medium to fast pace!
