Runs big

Great lightweight trench for layering. The material is not denim or chambray, but has a slight luminosity, which I like. The garment runs big, I am usually a large, but the medium was a bit big on me. I could have sized down but small was not available, but I am ok with an oversized look.

Not a good fit for any figure

I have liked every garment that I have purchased from this line until now. This coat had a strange design from the waist up. Arm holes were very large which affected the overall fit. The fabric is quite thin. I returned it.

Color not as advertised

I was hoping for a bright, solid blue like the photo. Instead it is metallic-like/iridescent and not attractive at all. The cut runs large and is very bulky. I returned it.

Not for short people!

I really wanted to like this coat, but it's just not flattering. I love belted trench coats in general, and love that it's lightweight and has good pockets, but for my short/squat frame at least, it just looks like I'm wearing my mother's coat. It also doesn't really do anything to protect from rain, so it doesn't seem to have much functionality. I can see wearing it out as a fashion coat over pants if you were taller and a little more willowy, but it's not for us petite/overweight folks! I may be able to salvage it with some strategic tailoring, but for now I'll be keeping it in my closet to give to my taller sibling.

Cardigan Coat

I am 5'3" and 125 lbs. I have this coat in extra small. It is a little bit bigger than how I want it to fit on me. I prefer my coats more fitted and tailored to my frame. It is not a deal breaker. I love my coats and this coat is different/unique from a classic trench in that is not too heavy, it looks like denim but it is not. It is like a "cardigan coat" :). It is soft and cute worn close or open. The material feels like tencel, so it may wrinkle more easily. This coat can easily transition from the office to the park. Very versatile.
