My daughter bought this model a couple of years ago and it works great. I bought the same current model and have to strain every glass of juice as get chunks of fruit or veggies in it and it’s very sludge like. I sent photos of this and after a couple months of effort mine was replaced but the second one does not juice any different than the 1st. Not sure why but the new models do not compare to the past ones.

one of the best juicers on the market
I was looking to buy a juicer for couple of weeks, debating between vertical and horizontal, between different brands, large mouth, small mouth, etc., then I found John Kohler youtube channel where he's praising the VSJ843 juicer. I've bought the juicer and I'm using it every day. The juice taste is awesome and the machine quality excellent, very durable with clever design. Warranty support is also responsive and helpful.

Even ginger is not a problem !!!!!!
So far I've never used a machine to make juice, I always used a hand press. Fruit I drink and I eat vegetables, I never drank them. Latest my doctor advised me to drink every day, ginger and lemon. The first weeks I grated ginger, but the pulp was not great to drink. I squeezed the lemons by hand and the yield was not so much. After doing my homework, I decided to buy a good machine to help me with it. And the OMEGA VSJ843RS was not the cheapest, but its great value for my money. After a few days I have other fruits, vegetables and spices added to my juices. In the manual, there are a few suggestions to make healthy juices, but online there are many more ideas. Look no further BUY THIS device and you will not regret it. Is also easy to clean. The price is quite high but till now worth it and of course 15-year guarantee

Best juicer EVER!!!
Just got this juicer 5 days ago and have been using it daily. Amazing and perfect is all I can say! It is really quiet, efficient, extracts the maximum juice possible from any fruit or vegetable and it is SUPER-easy to clean! :-) I do have 2 questions though: 1) What do each of the 2 different screens that come with the juicer achieve? 2) Why can the pulp-flap that is under the bowl not be ordered as a spare part? What happens when I need a new pulp-flap...?

One of the best Verticle Slow Juicers available!
I've done research on juicers, read reviews, seen videos, read consumers reports, etc so when my son asked me which juicer I'd recommend for him to gift to my daughter in law I suggested the Omega VSJ843RS for them, due to the quality and small footprint. To say my daughter in law was thrilled is an understatement! They have been juicing regularly and email me photos that show quality juiceoutput and beautiful color. They report there is minimal pulp, no separation, the juice is smooth, and the juicer works efficiently and is very easy to clean! They love the juicer and the juiced result is of great quality! I own a wondeful stainless steel twin gear Angel Juicer that works wonderful too but will be purchasing the Omega VSJ843RS or square one, haven't decided, to juice fruit with soon! From all the research done, the Omega is one of the best brands on themarket today, as far as vertical slow juicers go, and look forward to using one of my own! Will write follow-up review in a year or so.

Great tip if you have one
This is my latest Omega after owning the VRT400 for a year. For almost another year now the VSJ843RS has provided me extremely great quality juice with almost no foam and with a cleanup that only requires a high pressure rinse and a swipe of your finger inside the bottom of the auger. That is if you utilize my great trick. The trick involves SLOWLY running CRUSHED ice through the juicer when it it full with juice or water. You will only need about a half a tall glass of crushed ice to purge clean the screen and output port. The motor however is not strong enough to feed ice pieces that are too large. Also, you need to feed slowly. If the motor stalls reverse and then go forward until the jam clears. The full container of juice or water helps melt the ice quicker and prevent jamming when performing this process. I have been using this technique very successfully now with both juicers I have owned for over a year on both units. Both units have not seen any ill effects from doing this and the ease of cleaning is remarkable. I only wish the motor had 20% more torque and I would have given it a full 5 stars. By the way, I'm an MIT mechanical engineer that manufactured injection molded product for 25 years and this product is top quality on workmanship. I love it and will probably upgrade to a new unit if the motor was more powerful and feedthroat was made larger to accommodate less cutting. My staple juice is: 1 Kale, 1 Broccoli, 2 Beet and its leaves, 4L Celery, 1L Cucumber, 4L Carrot, 6 Kiwi, 1 Fugi Apple, 1 Mango, 1/2" Ginger. Makes about 5 water bottles of high energy very healthy and great tasting juice. Piecemeal the items through the juicer in this order precut to keep the output port running clear. Adding crushed ice occasionally while you are running the product through also helps keep the output port clear.

Great Juicer
I bought this juicer recently and chose the vertical model to enable using gravitation to my advantage. The juicer parts are of high quality, easily dismantled, and very easy to clean. One needs to be careful while juicing carrots and make thinner slices so that the augur doesn't stop. The output is extremely refreshing and natural without any oxidation. I would highly recommend this product
