color not as sown

I love the bag, But it’s more of a mustard yellow. I actually ordered two and they both are more yellow than brown. love it still keeping it. Hopefully it will age well.

Flawed Loveliness

Funky bag for my eclectic gypsy soul. I wanted to love it as the lilac color is very nice, the long strap with tooling is lovely and I like the cotton lining; unfortunately, the short handle is much too short, preventing one from wearing the bag on their arm. The handle is too short to do anything but slip your fingers through. There are no feet, so the bottom is vulnerable, and the leather appears to be easily stainable. Opening the bag is more complicated than I would like, and there are no outside pockets. To open one must: first push the round button back, then turn the knob below to horizontal, after lifting the leather strap, one can, en fin, open zee bag.

Not What I Expected

I'm giving this 3 stars mainly because the bag is different than shown in the picture. I thought it was more distressed and lighter in color, like the picture. The bag is more of a burgundy-lilac color and is not weathered or distressed. It is of excellent quality, made of good leather, but a bit stiff and I'm not sure how long it would take to soften up. The opening is a bit small but the overall size is what I expected. Hand strap is pretty useless/short. Hardware is good quality but VERY gold/brassy.

Small but not too small. It works!

It is small, but not too small. Cute details and lovely leather workmanship. Great quality, and I have some Frye products, but Old Trend are a fraction of the cost, if you buy at Macy's and on sale! Adjustable shoulder strap, removable too. Top handle to carry w/o the strap. I bought the brown. Rich color. Cute Dr. bag style.
