Not the greatest for smoothies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hoping that it will do better as my last ninja .. I was wrong . The blade for the smoothies isn’t the greatest … that’s the thing we use the most :( disappointed

Stopped turning on after 2 years

I have the blender only version of this (no food processor). It randomly stopped turning on after 2 years of working pretty well. There is no option to get this repaired and I was told to get a new blender. Seems like a minor electronic issue and not a motor issue since the touch buttons aren't turning on. But lack of repair support is a reason I would not buy a new one. Going with vitamix which is actually built to last and has better support.

Saves space, but design change is dumb.

I love/hate the new Triple Prep System. The power is awesome. Having one motor base is great (my full-size food processor and blender are gone!). I'm replacing a Pro 1000 Smoothie beast and love not having to hold the cup down to keep it running. So what don't I love? The design change that moves the threads from the outside of the smoothie cup to the inside. As my smoothies are blending, I can see liquid seeping around the threads (it's not a tight seal) and when the smoothie is done, putting the to-go lid on it means I've got smoothie squeezing out the top and dripping down the sides. Most of all, I CAN'T USE ANY OF THE CUPS I BOUGHT for the Pro 1000. Hey, Nutribullet, fix this design flaw and give me the option of buying (or send to registered owners free of charge) an extractor blade attachment with threads on the outside so I can use those Pro 1000 cups. Frankly, having different smoothie cups for different models is dumb. Reminds me of a competitor that also makes vacuum cleaners with attachments specific to each model. The food processor has a small feed chute. Recently, I needed to shred cabbage for coleslaw. It was easier to do with a knife and cutting board than cutting the head of cabbage into very small wedges to fit in the feed chute. Lastly, I wish the blending pitcher had a screw-on removable blade base. The dedicated blender that it's replacing had this feature and it made it very easy to clean. Nutribullet instructs me to add a few drops of liquid dish soap to water and run the blender to clean, but I'm still a little bit leery about trace amounts of food on the underside of the blades. Even so, it works well for making a double batch of smoothies.
