Very disappointed

Book not for newbie to foraging. Very disappointed lack of complete information about "look a likes" with pictures which are usually poisonous. This is a add to my many foraging books and huge disappointment. The word "supposed" is used a lot which leaves the reader to have to research to find the correct information. I'm in the Adirondacks with many varieties of ferns, most poisonous, this book being about the NE, I think there should have been more detail in regards to the poisonous species of ferns and pictures. Talks of wild parsnip, about the possible dangers if you get the sap on your skin. In NYS this is on an invasive plant and by waiting to winter as per the author to harvest, the flowers will seed and causing the plant to multiply the next year. Very sorry I spent money on this book, not cheap.
