Where do my toes go?

I bought these in red and they are gorgeous. Planned to wear them with a tux to a very special event. When I tried to slip them on, I felt like one of Cinderella’s ugly stepsisters trying to fit into her tiny glass slipper! The toe box has no room. It’s not the width, it’s how flat it is. For that reason, I think a larger size won’t make a difference. I have been this size my entire adult life and have never experienced this. So disappointed! They have to go back. 😭
