Great Workout - Gym Shoe

This is a very light, minimal shoe that is great for working out it. It is very light, and very form fitting -- in fact, it runs small. I highly suggest you order a half size larger then you normally wear. It is the type of shoe you can run errands in and then head directly to the gym -- overally very happy with them.

Great for training and machine cardio

I just ordered my third pair of these sneaks! I use them for weight training and cardio on machines at the gym. They are super light, and they stick to the ground so I feel stable when doing squats and leg day exercises. The rounded toe bed is good for my wide feet, as I usually don’t find Nikes that fit my foot comfortably without going up an entire size. They fit snug to start but after a few wears they break in perfectly. I’ve gotten 1 year of wear out of each pair, working out 3-4 days a week. Highly recommend!

Lightweight and agile; runs a 1/2 size small

I am a 9.5 in most other shoes, including the AF1 and Court Vision (mid-tops). I bought a 10 for the Free TR 8 and they fit perfectly. My feet are on the wider side (I wear normal width but I can afford extra room), but I have no pinching issues. Getting them on is far easier than I expected, and they feel secure. My feet aren’t small, but the TR 8 look great on and seem to make them appear a bit smaller. They’re super lightweight and have so far been excellent for boxing and cardio. I’ve got another color in my cart, because I know I’ll be sad once I wear these out (since they’re discontinued). I’m not a “write a review” person but I honestly feel like I need to emphasize, along with everyone else, how awesome these shoes are!

Not good for HIIT

To start off, I have loved Nike frees since they started making them. They were the magic cure for my plantar fasciitis a decade+ ago, and they're still great shoes, although I miss the 3-5-7 gradations of cushion Nike used to offer. However, as a training shoe, they're falling short. The changes in sizing are garbage. I had to go up a half size from an 11 to an 11.5, and the shoe just doesn't fit the same. They're wider in the wrong places, and instead of putting on what used to feel like an extension of my foot, it feels like I'm wearing a boat. There's adequate cushion, but it's too much. I've lost a sense of the ground. Also, during HIIT workouts, my foot slides around in the shoe a lot. Tightening the laces doesn't help because the whole upper stretches, which is fine for just running, but with more athletic/plyometric workouts with fast directional changes, this is bad. I'm bruising the ends of my toes in a shoe that's a hair too big because there's no way to tighten it. I'd return them, but I've used them.

love them! they’re comfy and look good too. also great for workouts or if you stand/walk a lot for work. I’ve had 3 pairs over the years and they last along time; the quality is very good and im so happy they back!!

Bummer

I bought these for my daughter so that she can begin training with me. The fabric is not white at all, it’s a dingy gross looking yellowish color. Not at all the vibrant white as shown in the pics. It’s such a huge disappointment because I was trying to surprise her. I listened to the other reviews and ordered a full size bigger than normal. She tried them on and said they feel comfortable so I may keep them since it will just be a gym shoe but what a bummer. I’m so tired of buying Nike’s and returning them. The quality just isn’t like it used to be.

Great gym shoe

These shoes are so light and comfortable. I use them daily for weight lifting and cardio. They do run small I had to size up an entire size.
